Uncle Sam's Pawn Shop, Inc. Lending Cash Since 1950

Lending Cash Since 1950

We are sad to announce that Gary Chasin, owner of Uncle Sam's Pawn Shop, and sponsor of many local music jams and charities, has passed away after a short illness.
Gary was a staple in the local music scene, supporting different acts and venues over the years. He was known for his love of jazz and blues, as well as having a heart the size of Texas, where he lived as a child. He would sacrifice in order to help others, to a fault. Gary had more energy than an 8 year old, working all day, sometimes 7 days a week, but still going to a club to enjoy his beloved music. He never missed Marti Gras in New Orleans, for the music as well as the street scene and carnival atmosphere. It was his life blood.
Rest in Peace, Gary. You are missed more than you ever imagined.
